Skinwork Photography Exhibition: Exclusive Art for a Great Cause

How to Detect Melanoma Skinwork Photography Exhibition in Toronto, Canada

Melanoma is one of the few cancers on the rise in Canada and is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers in people between the ages of 15 to 29. This year alone, over 7300 Canadians will be diagnosed with melanoma and thousands more will be treated for recurrences.

Every single hour, someone will die of melanoma in North America.

Those are frightening numbers.

Skinwork Photography Exhibition Fundraiser for Melanoma Network of Canada

Created by Heather Mundle and Bettina Bogar, Skinwork is a photography exhibition aiming to turn those statistics around by raising awareness about skin health and cancer prevention. Sadly, on September 24th, 2018, shortly after beginning the project, Heather lost her battle to skin cancer. “She was a strong, passionate proponent of knowing and listening to your body and wanted to organize an event to encourage women to be aware of signs of skin cancer.”

Bettina Bogar photographed more than 60 brave Canadian women with special connections to the cause, creating the powerful series of photos.

Posterjack is very proud and honoured to have been chosen to print all 82 photos for the event. Ranging in size from 16”x16” to 32”x48”, the Classic White Metal Prints display the raw beauty and help bring each woman’s story to life.

The exhibition runs from March 5th-16th from 8am-9pm at Artscape Youngplace in Toronto. The single-print photos from the exhibition are available for purchase with 100% of the proceeds being donated to the Melanoma Network of Canada.
