Frameless Mounting

Your Frameless Mount is made in-house in Toronto by skilled craftspeople and specialized equipment.

1. Your image is printed onto our satin photo paper using HP Vivera water based inks.
2. Your print is cut out using a Zund digital cutting machine, creating a perfectly straight edge.
3. Your print is mounted to a rigid MDF board and laminated with Artshield laminate.  After lamination your print is cutout using a CNC router to create a beveled edge, which is then painted black.
4. Your Frameless Mounting goes through final quality control, then is packaged in protective packaging for its trip to your home.

Frameless Mountings are a great choice if you are looking for a classic look or traditional plaque mounting. If you are looking for a more modern alternative, we suggest our Photoboards.

It will take 5-7 days for us to produce, package, and ship your Frameless Mounting.  The shipping time from our facility to your door will depend on the shipping service you choose and your proximity to our Toronto facility.

Our Frameless Mountings are very durable and can be hung anywhere indoors.  You can hang Frameless Mountings in bathrooms or other areas where moisture is present.  Our Frameless Mountings have a satin matte finish, so you can hang them in bright and sunny rooms and you will not experience much glare.

All of our Frameless Mounts come ready-to-hang with a slotted keyhole installed on the back.  You will need to use an appropriate fastener such as a nail or screw securely attached to the wall.

The maximum size of Frameless Mounting you should choose is dependent on the resolution of your photo/image.  Most digital photos taken today will work with any of our sizes small or large.  The size you should choose is mostly determined by the area where you would like to hang the print.  Here are a few of our most popular sizes:

8x12 Inches

8”x12” is a smaller size is perfect for gifts,  gallery walls, smaller spaces or to sit on a ledge or shelf.

12x12 Inches

12”x12” is a smaller square Frameless Mounting that is perfect for Instagram photos.

16x24 Inches

16”x24” is our top selling size that is big enough to make an impact, but not too huge.  These can be hung in a cluster or stand alone.

24x36 Inches

24”x36” is a large size where the print can stand alone on the wall above a mantel or above a smaller couch.

32x48 Inches

32”x48” is one of our larger sizes that will work well above a couch or as a statement piece on a feature wall. 

Frameless Mounts are very durable and easy to clean.  You can clean the surface with a damp, soft, lint free cloth.
