Overlooking the Salish Sea

This Photo Art of The Week belongs to Jennifer Kennedy. You’re looking at a 16”x24” Canvas Print with an espresso floater frame.

Captured on the Manzanita Bluffs along the Gwendoline Hills trail section of the Sunshine Coast Trail in Powell River, BC, Jennifer tells us, “I'm a local wedding and portrait photographer who rarely takes my own images, but couldn't help but capture this family day-hike to overlook beautiful Salish Sea and coastal islands. The SCT (Sunshine Coast Trail) gets international attention and we're lucky enough to have it in our backyard!” You can see more of Jennifer’s photos by visiting her website. You can also find her on Facebook and Instagram.

Hiking the Sunshine Coast Trail

Seeing Jennifer’s beautiful family photo printed on canvas and hearing her story behind the image made us want to look up the Sunshine Coast Trail to see what it was all about. Did you know that the trail is 180 kilometres long (stretching from Sarah Point in Desolation Sound to Saltery Bay)? The trail's official website says, “The Sunshine Coast Trail traverses a wide variety of landscapes, from coastal shorelines, along creeks and lakes, through old growth forests to panoramic mountaintops. It provides hikers with the opportunity to experience Powell River’s breathtaking back country with its rich fauna and flora. Attracting hikers from around the world, this epic hiking trail now boasts 14 huts with one more planned next year, making it Canada’s Longest Hut-To-Hut Hiking Trail – and the only free one.” Doesn’t that sounds incredible?

Canvas Prints Made for Canadians by Canadians

Posterjack Canada Mini Canvas Prints

Posterjack Canvas Prints are expertly hand-stretched and made right here in Canada, from our Toronto location. Our goal is to provide Canadians the best canvas prints available, which means we only use premium materials like thick poly-cotton canvas that won’t sag, and kiln-dried Canadian basswood frames that won’t warp. In addition to ensuring the materials we use are second to none, we put just as much effort into making sure your photo looks its best! We print photos using our proprietary PJ-PRINT™ software and world-class printers using green certified HP inks that will not fade for 200 years. The quality and care we put into creating our Canvas Prints means you get a beautiful piece of custom photo art you can proudly display on your wall, and years down the road it will look just as vibrant as the day you got it.

Framing Your Canvas Print

You can enhance your Canvas Print with a frame to complement your decor. We offer floater frames in three beautiful colours: black, white, and espresso. The latter being what’s featured in this Photo Art of The Week.
